Keeping Surfaces Clean, Together

Corian® Design Partners and Customers,

We wanted to let you know that all of us at Corian® Design hope you and your loved ones are safe during this time. Similar to much of the world, we are actively monitoring the recent global pandemic outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The safety and well-being of all who work with us and use our Corian® Design products is very important to us. We wanted to share some recommendations for the cleaning and disinfection of Corian® Solid Surface and Corian® Quartz.

Cleaning of frequently touched surfaces such as countertops, tables, doorknobs, light switches and handles is a significant way to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Use of common household cleaners in conjunction with the appropriate EPA-registered disinfectant can help reduce the spread of these diseases.

SARS-CoV-2 is the virus which causes the COVID-19 disease. The CDC has recently provided a list of recommended cleaning procedures using environmental surface disinfectants recommended by the EPA against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Visit www.epa.gov to find the current list of active ingredients that meet EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19.

The American Chemistry Council’s (ACC) Center for Biocide Chemistries (CBC) has compiled a list of products that have been pre-approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use against emerging enveloped viral pathogens and can be used during the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Corian® Solid Surface and Corian® Quartz have been shown to be compatible with the current products listed by the EPA to be effective against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It is imperative to follow the manufacturer’s use-dilution and application directions to achieve proper disinfection.
